Who we are

Weldholm supplies European-manufactured glazed partitions, windows, doors and bespoke metal and wood fabrication for UK commercial fit-outs. For the purposes of the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, Weldholm is the data controller for personal data collected through this website.

Contact for any privacy question or request: kalvis@weldholm.co.uk. Our full registered company details are available in writing on request.

What we collect

  • Enquiry details you give us — name, company, email address, phone number where you provide it, and the project description, dimensions or requirements you write in the form.
  • Newsletter sign-up — your email address only.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser and device type, and the pages requested, recorded by our hosting provider in server logs for security and reliability.
  • Cookie choice — your consent preference is stored in your browser, not on our servers.

We do not ask for and do not want special-category data (health, biometric, political or similar). Please do not include it in a form.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To answer your enquiry and quote your project — legitimate interests, and steps taken at your request prior to a contract.
  • To send updates you signed up for — your consent, withdrawable at any time.
  • To keep the site secure and working — legitimate interests.
  • To meet legal and accounting obligations — compliance with a legal obligation.

Who processes data on our behalf

We keep the chain short. Personal data submitted through this site is handled by the platform that hosts the site and runs its backend, and by the email service that delivers your enquiry to our inbox. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.

Where a provider processes data outside the UK or EEA, that transfer relies on the provider’s own safeguards, such as UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Standard Contractual Clauses terms. A current list of processors is available on request.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become projects: up to 24 months, so we can pick up a conversation you restart.
  • Enquiries that become projects: for the life of the project and then as long as needed for warranty, tax and accounting purposes.
  • Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete you.
  • Server logs: short retention set by our hosting provider.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or port it to another provider. You can withdraw consent for marketing at any time. Email kalvis@weldholm.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and form submissions are transmitted encrypted in transit. Access to enquiry data is limited to the people who need it to quote and deliver work. No system is absolutely secure, so we do not claim it is — we do commit to telling you promptly if a breach affects your data and we are required to notify you.

Cookies

Details of every cookie category we use, and how to change your choice, are in the Cookie Policy. You can reopen the consent panel at any time.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and the date above. Material changes affecting marketing consent will be notified by email to subscribers.
